I want to learn X,Y and Z.. how do I do that? PDF Print E-mail

We frequently have members that come to us with a particular position or role that they wish to get some experience in. This ranges from individuals wishing to learn the art of directing, or simply how to set up some outside broadcast equipment.

Although we have all sorts of roles and positions available at RMIT, some are naturally more competitive than others. For this reason, we encourage ANY member (and this goes for some of our older members as well!) to get some experience in many different crew roles as possible. Not only does this add a few more strings to your bow, but you might just find that the position you thought you wanted wasn't that great after all!

If you are a die-hard and want that one position, we advise you to speak directly to one of our producers about whether there is an open position or a assistant/trainee role in your desired area. For a list of our current shows and producers, please check out the productions page.

Keep in mind that there are few places that allow anyone to experience a broad variety of television and broadcast roles, so no matter what you want to be at the end of the day, we encourage you to jump in and try something new!
