Television is a very expensive activity. There is constantly equipment to purchase, repair and upgrade, insurance fees to cover, studio hire, licensing, office supplies, broadcast fees...the list goes on!

So RMITV can keep allowing our members to realise their television and media dreams, we need money to keep the organisation running. Our good friends at RMIT Student Union and RMIT Union have been supporting us with our main source of funding since the very beginning, and because of their support RMIT students have the advantage of a discounted membership.

However we would like to stress that RMITV is not just for RMIT students! We have members from pretty much every University and TAFE in Melbourne, and as our primary goal is to encourage student media, we offer current students of any TAFE or Higher education a reduced rate as well. 

We at RMITV think that regardless of the price, the opportunites that RMITV provides to it's members is well and truly worth the price of membership.
