RMITV frequently participates in what we call 'outside broadcasts' (OB's) where we organise a crew and take our equipment out on locations, and shoot an event 'live-to-tape'. This could involve one person with a camera, up to multiple cameras in a live switched setup, with roaming camera crews and hosts. However, OB's take a lot of time and planning, and whilst they provide a great chance for members to participate and learn, it ties up a lot of our resources - in terms of both equipment and personnel. For this reason, we can very rarely gurantee outright to film an event for nothing. If your event... - fits into the RMITV mission of providing students with learning and training opportunities - is student based - is exciting, unusual or particularly unique ...you will find it will be easier to get RMITV members to help out, as it is more in line with RMITV's purpose. We encourage anyone who is considering filming their event to contact RMITV directly to see if RMITV can help. Other ways you can get your event filmed is to hire RMITV to film the event. We will organise a crew, equipment and post-production, and you will walk away with a professionally produced DVD of your event. Our prices vary greatly depending on what the event is, and the amount of RMITV resources that will be involved. If you are interested in such an opportunity, please contact us to organise a quote. |
